Lead Water Restoration Technician

About the role

The Water Restoration Technician will be primarily responsible for water extraction and cleanup of residential or commercial properties that have experienced water damage. This includes setting up, monitoring, and tearing down drying equipment, performing basic labor tasks such as demolition and debris removal, and discussing field observations with the Project Manager to ensure timely and accurate project execution.

This position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who thrive in fast-moving environments, can manage time effectively to meet deadlines, and possess strong communication skills for interacting with supervisors, employees, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in water restoration, mold remediation, and fire damage cleanup
• Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure timely delivery of services
• Respond to water jobs and initiate water mitigation according to IICRC standards
• Communicate with customers about scope of work and review necessary paperwork
• Maintain all company restoration and cleaning equipment, ensuring it is clean and properly maintained
• Perform marketing tasks to sell additional services or develop additional business as required
• Perform other duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related positions

Requirements

• IICRC Certifications: WTR, ASD, AHERA Certified
• Ability to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Restoration and construction experience helpful but not required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of word processing, business software, and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent communication skills
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Pass criminal background check
