Job Responsibilities
- Lead daily inventory control functions including cycle counting, auditing, and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Ensure inventory accuracy by investigating and resolving variances in a timely manner
- Partner with inbound, outbound, and putaway teams to maintain proper product flow and location accuracy
- Monitor inventory transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for compliance and accuracy
- Train, coach, and support inventory associates on processes, systems, and best practices
- Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Maintain organization and accuracy of all product locations, including bulk, pick locations, and reserve storage
- Support internal and external audits and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Communicate inventory issues, risks, and trends to leadership proactively
- Aid in developing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide day-to-day direction to inventory team members
- Act as a point of contact for escalations related to inventory issues
- Support performance management through feedback and coaching
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to meet operational goals and KPIs
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–4+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, or supply chain operations
- Prior leadership or lead experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse operations
- Experience with WMS systems (e.g., Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution center environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 40–50 lbs as required)
- Comfortable working with warehouse equipment (RF scanners, forklifts, etc., as applicable)
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed
