Schedule
- Sunday - Thursday, 7:00pm - shift completion
- Overtime is required daily until all tasks are completed for the shift
About the Role
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The role ensures the efficient flow of products from receipt to shipment while meeting service parameters for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Follows standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations to facilitate successful operational activities.
- Directs workflows on the warehouse floor, including packing, unloading, shipping, and managing delivery schedules.
- Analyzes internal data and reports on productivity and efficiency to identify performance trends.
- Coordinates with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities in support of operational objectives.
- Assists in inbound and outbound workload forecasting through historical and trend analysis to optimize labor utilization.
- Supports inventory management, stocking, and shipping as necessary.
- Trains new employees on company and departmental procedures.
- Operates material handling equipment, such as order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
- Ensures safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinates housekeeping, inventory control, and compliance with QRA and safety requirements.
- Directly supports employees in the distribution center with tasks including:
- Unloading trucks by hand and with material handling equipment.
- Accurately breaking down and stocking freight in accordance with QRA standards.
- Order processing, including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, and loading products.
- Communicates with external customers to address disruptions, provide delivery updates, and ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience preferred; prior distribution center experience is a plus.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Computer experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) preferred; experience with PKMS, AIMS, ECC, WIL, or ADI is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in a position requiring prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching, with the ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly.
- Independent self-starter with a drive to succeed, strong emphasis on results, and ability to motivate others in a team environment.
