Black Dog Veterinary Services in beautiful Bozeman, MT is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Surgical Technician to join our dedicated team. We are a progressive small animal hospital offering advanced surgeries, dentistry, innovative treatments, and integrative care. What You’ll Do
- Monitor anesthesia and assist in advanced surgeries
- Perform dental cleanings and take dental radiographs
- Work side by side with the surgery doctor to determine surgical flow and priorities
- Delegate tasks to ensure efficiency and patient safety
- Mentor and train technicians and assistants
- Onboard new hires to hospital protocols and standards
- Assist in scheduling and maintaining a smooth daily workflow
- Lead by example to uphold our high standards of medicine and patient care
- Support collaboration between hospital leadership and the technical team
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) strongly preferred
- 2+ years of proven anesthesia, surgical, and dental experience required
- Proven ability to monitor anesthesia and assist in complex surgeries
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience training and mentoring team members
- Positive, compassionate, and professional mindset

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: Pay starts at $23/hr but goes up DOE
