Full-time outpatient position at Boulder Vein Center in Boulder, CO. Reports to Imaging Supervisor or Medical Director.

About the role

Perform a full range of non-invasive vascular studies in an outpatient clinic with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and no on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including:
    • Carotid duplex
    • Venous and arterial duplex of upper and lower extremities
    • Abdominal aortic and iliac duplex
    • Ankle-brachial index (ABI) testing
  • Accurately document preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient privacy and comfort during all procedures.
  • Enter exam data and maintain accurate records within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care coordination.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure exam rooms are clean and fully stocked.
  • Follow departmental protocols and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
  • Uphold all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited vascular or diagnostic medical sonography program.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Outpatient clinical experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Athenahealth EHR preferred but not required.

  • In-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy and diagnostic criteria.
  • Strong communication and patient-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality care.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call
  • Outpatient clinic setting
  • Moderate physical activity, including standing and assisting patients
