But many of these overlap with responsibilities and skills. However we need to preserve all substantive info; we can't omit details. But we can group them into sections without duplication? The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. That suggests we should not omit any detail, but we can reorganize into sections as long as we keep all info. Duplication is okay if it's originally duplicated? We should avoid repeating same sentence multiple times if it's already in the source? The source has some repetition (e.g., ability to train others appears both in responsibilities and qualifications). We could keep both occurrences but maybe we can keep them as they appear in each section. However we need to avoid creating thin sections; but we can have multiple sections each with substantive content.
We need to decide sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Pay, Schedule. Maybe also Requirements (environmental). Let's see if we have enough for each.
Responsibilities: we have the list from "How will you contribute". That's substantive.
Qualifications: education/experience/certifications: high school diploma or GED plus 12+ years related industrial experience; pharmaceutical or utilities experience preferred; two-year certificate in technical field preferred; 8+ years experience in maintenance trades preferred; Preferred Journeyman skilled craft training/apprenticeship certificate or commensurate combo.
Skills: the rest of abilities: reading manuals, customer service, teamwork, problem-solving, control systems, P&IDs, communication platforms, core operating principles, verbal/written communication, interpersonal skills, team-based environment, intermediate to advanced computer skills, interact constructively, train others, seek outside resources, read procedures/schematics/blueprints, advanced troubleshooting, familiar with CMMS/SAP/JDE/Maximo, understand cGMPs, familiarity with Microsoft Office/SCADA/process control, advance troubleshooting and repairs, provide training, ordering/maintaining inventory for refrigerant logs, create and execute work orders, escort contractors.
Requirements (environmental/physical): May work in cold, wet environment; may be exposed to sunlight and heat; may be exposed to dust, gases, fumes; may be required to stand and walk frequently; may be around moving equipment; may climb up and into large tanks; may work in loud area requiring hearing protection; may work around chemicals requiring respiratory protection; may be required to work or be assigned to different shift as needed; This position requires shift, weekend, and holiday work; Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and rotate(2/2/3) with assigned shifts; Overtime may be required at times; Requires performing activities within plant utilities equipment, mechanical work, and computer-based activities; May be required to lift up to 50 pounds when managing chemicals; No travel expected.
Pay: Hourly wage range $27.55 - $43.26.
Schedule: we already have shift details; but schedule may be covered in Requirements. However we have separate schedule info: shift, weekend, holiday work, 12-hour shifts rotate (2/2/3), overtime may be required. That's schedule. We could put schedule section with those details, and maybe remove shift details from Requirements to avoid duplication. But we need to preserve all info; we can keep shift details in Schedule section and maybe also mention shift work in Requirements? The source includes shift details in both "Other Job Requirements" and also earlier "This position requires shift, weekend, and holiday work..." It's duplicated. We can keep it once.
Thus we can have:
- About the role (paragraph)
- Responsibilities (list from "How will you contribute")
- Qualifications (education/experience/certifications)
- Skills (list of abilities)
- Requirements (environmental/physical demands, lift, no travel)
- Pay (hourly wage range)
- Schedule (shift, weekend, holiday, 12-hour rotations, overtime)
Check if any section would be thin: each has multiple bullet points.
Now we need to format: Use
for section headings. Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Thus:
