Pay
$24.77–$28.49 per hour. Offering rate will vary within the listed hourly range above. Supported by the Department budget & related experience/education. Preference in employment actions exercised in accordance with applicable law. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility for preference.

Role
Provides immediate and on-going assistance to Native American victims of crime including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and elder abuse in the Northeast Kansas area. Conducts phone and in-person assessments, provides referrals and case management services to victims; advocates through support, information and assistance to victims as their case moves through the criminal justice process and beyond; assists with planning and carrying out educational and outreach events; develops, maintains and works cooperatively within the program, department, community, Nation and service area to reduce the impact of domestic violence in tribal communities and to improve tribal and non-tribal systems and agency responses to victims of crime.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
- Driving: Must have a valid Kansas driver's license free of occupational restrictions, and must be insurable with the Nation's insurance.
- Experience: 2 years' experience in victim services and/or 4 years verifiable experience in psychology, criminal justice, social work, or a social service-related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or other social science related field and 4 years verifiable experience in psychology, criminal justice, social work, or a social service-related field.
