Lead Traveling Security Technician

About the Role

UT Government is looking to add a Traveling Security Technician to their team. The Security Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, testing, and inspecting a wide range of access control and IP Camera products and systems. As a customer-facing employee, the Security Technician must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who is capable of making sound decisions in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology.

Responsibilities

• Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms.
• Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
• Install door hardware.
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Communicate project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
• 1-5 years of security installation experience and network ability.
• Knowledge of security equipment systems (intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
• Ability to install and maintain alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
• DCJS Certified is required.
• Prior troubleshooting experience.
• Security industry certifications.
• Knowledge of: Software House, Gallagher, Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch, or Hirsh.
• Ability to travel around the US, including 2 weeks at a time.
• Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $65,000 USD - $90,000 USD
