About the Role
UT Government is looking to add a Traveling Security Technician to their team. The Security Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, testing, and inspecting a wide range of access control and IP Camera products and systems. As a customer-facing employee, the Security Technician must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who is capable of making sound decisions in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology.
Responsibilities
- Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms.
- Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
- Install door hardware.
- Complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
- 1-5 years of security installation experience and network ability.
- Knowledge of security equipment systems (intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
- Ability to install and maintain alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
- DCJS Certified is required.
- Prior troubleshooting experience.
- Security industry certifications.
- Knowledge of: Software House, Gallagher, Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch, or Hirsh.
- Ability to travel around the US, including 2 weeks at a time.
- Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.
Pay
Pay Range: $65,000 USD - $90,000 USD
