About the role
Unlimited Technology (UT) is a premier cyber and physical security specialty contractor serving the facilities and networks of leading brands and critical infrastructure. As a Traveling Security Technician, you will install, service, test, and inspect a wide range of access-control and IP-camera products and systems. This customer-facing role requires a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who can make sound decisions in the best interest of both the customer and UT.
Responsibilities
- Service and test various access-control and IP-camera products and platforms.
- Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
- Apply a basic understanding of door-hardware installation.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate all project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
- One to five years of security-installation experience and network ability.
- Knowledgeable of security-equipment systems (intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
- Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access-control, and assessment-system devices.
- Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.
- DCJS Certified is required.
- Prior troubleshooting experience.
- Security-industry certifications.
- Knowledge of Software House, Gallagher, Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch, or Hirsh systems.
- Able to travel around the U.S. for two weeks at a time.

Pay
$65,000 USD – $90,000 USD.
