Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, FDA regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Study specifications from CAD models, blueprints, sketches, or tool descriptions and plan sequences of operation to construct tooling.
  • Operate tool room equipment at a high level of competency, including but not limited to:
    • CNC mill
    • CNC Electrical Discharge Machines (EDMs)
    • Manual and/or wire EDMs
    • Surface grinders
    • Manual mills and lathes
    • Drill presses
    • Array of hand tools
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of stages of tooling.
  • Plan, construct, and repair tool, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to close tolerances.
  • Demonstrate high-level expertise and experience with equipment.
  • Stay abreast of new and developing technology relevant to the position.
  • Participate in problem-solving and provide input for process/product evaluations for continuous improvement.
  • Make recommendations to improve existing work instructions for quality, clarity, and efficiency.
  • Report equipment issues to appropriate resources for resolution.
  • Order supplies and materials.
  • Verify attendance within the timekeeping system in a Supervisor’s absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate the activities of other Toolmakers and report progress and metrics to management.
  • Lead projects and mentor other technicians.
  • Expand skill base through on-the-job training, cross-training, and classroom instruction.
  • Train personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes.
  • Provide support, guidance, data, and analysis to other departments.
  • Support performance reviews and talent calibration processes.
  • Drive improvements in product and process quality, identify and escalate quality non-conformances.
  • Adhere to Integer’s Core Beliefs, Safety, and Quality requirements, embedding quality within daily work.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent; associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 8-10 years of related experience. Journeymen certification/paperwork may be required.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply it in operating tool room equipment.
  • Demonstrated competency at the master level as defined by the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
  • Basic TIG or Tool room welding (a plus).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
  • Strong computer operation skills.
  • Ability to motivate others and possess a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Passion for excellence and action orientation.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience and comfort using computers.
  • Self-driven and quality-focused.

Pay

Pay Range: $35.30 - $51.77 per hour.

Our compensation program includes base wages, a cash-based incentive program, overtime pay, shift differentials, and call-in pay, when applicable.
