Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
- Presenting developmentally appropriate educational expectations
- Meeting the individual needs of the children
- Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
- Participation in staff and training meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum of MSDE-OCC Teacher requirements (90-hour training)
- Bachelor's degree in education is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong written and communication skills
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education is preferred
- Associate degree (Preferred)
- Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
- 90 Hour Training Certificate (Preferred)
Pay
Starting salary range is $16–$20+ per hour based on experience, education, and certifications. Full-time position, from $18.00+ per hour, expected 40 hours per week.
Schedule
8-hour shift. Ability to commute/relocate to Rockville, MD 20850: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
