Description
Children's Cottage of Wilmington is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher to support in the following age groups: Toddlers.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- The ability to pass all background checks
- Preference for applicants with an associate degree or bachelor's degree
- A plus if you have previous childcare experience
Required Shift
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm
Compensation
$15-$18/hr; based on education and experience

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides
- Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine
- Use our parent communication app efficiently
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
- Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
- Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
