Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the classroom in accord with the mission and curriculum of Employee Child Care Center. Create a classroom learning environment that is loving and developmentally appropriate and meets the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each individual child.

Requirements

  • Teacher qualified in Colorado by one of the following:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Child Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Child Psychology
    • A Bachelor’s degree in an area not listed above with two three-semester hour Early Childhood Education college courses and at least 910 (6 months) hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
    • An Associate’s degree in child development or Early Childhood Education with at least 910 hours (6 months) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
    • A current Colorado Level 1 credential or two three-credit college courses with one course being either Introduction to Early Childhood Education (ECE 101) or guidance strategies (ECE 103)
    • A Child Development Associate (CDA) or certified Child Care Professional (CCP) credential

Qualifications

  • Mentorship and guidance strategies
  • Experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
  • Current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or certified Child Care Professional (CCP)
  • Completion of a vocational or occupational education sequence in child growth and development

Skills

Ability to create a loving and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage a classroom of children, and knowledge of child growth and development.

$18.00 - $27.77 /hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 70 hours per week, Day shift, Not remote
