Lead Toddler Teacher

We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Clarkston, MI team.
About the role
As the Lead Teacher, you have responsibility for day-to-day classroom management, creating activities and age-appropriate lesson plans with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience for young children utilizing the High Scope curriculum.
Status: Regular, full-time (40 hours/week)
Location: Onsite, Clarkston, MI
Desired start date: August 17, 2026
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 6:45am-3:45pm
Pay
$15-$20/hour (based on certification or degree plus years of experience in early childhood education)
Responsibilities
- Ensures overall safety of children
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
- Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
- Conduct Parent-Teacher conferences
- Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
Requirements
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, required
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or a child-related field is preferred
- A minimum of one year experience in a toddler classroom is required
- CPR certification is required for all teaching staff, may be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
