Lead Ticket Checker, Winter 26/27

About the Role

Join our team of big mountain adventurers at Crystal Mountain, the largest ski resort in Washington. As a Lead Ticket Checker, you'll assist Ticket Checkers in daily duties, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operations across multiple lifts. This role works closely with Guest Service employees to handle ticket issues and maintain high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform all duties of a Ticket Checker
• Enthusiastically interact with guests and provide exceptional customer service
• Set up and break down multiple lift mazes daily
• Lead a team of Ticket Checkers in assigned tasks and projects
• Adhere to all company and department policies and set an example for others
• Assist in training new employees
• Ensure all breaks are completed in accordance with Department of Labor policies
• Maintain the overall appearance of mazes and staff, and audit supplies and documentation
• Assist in physically demanding tasks such as shoveling
• Conduct crowd control in lift lines
• Identify and delegate tasks to Ticket Checkers throughout the day
• Encourage a safe work environment
• Understand RFID gates and tablets, know each ticket and pass type, and handle minor ticket and guest issues

Requirements

• Leadership and/or Ticket Checking Lead experience required
• Ski/Snowboard experience preferred
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to maximize use of time and resources
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Respectful to all employees and guests at all times

Working Conditions

• Required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours during operation
• Flexible schedule required
• Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move a minimum of 30 pounds occasionally
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Work for extended periods standing, bending, reaching, speaking, and sitting
• Work outside in extreme cold and changing weather conditions for long periods

Pay

$22.00 - $23.50 per hour
