Lead Therapist

About the role

The Lead Therapist at Familylinks supports outpatient treatment services, coordinates program needs, and provides direct service to individuals in treatment. They also assist management in providing clinical support to staff.

Responsibilities

• Aids the Manager with daily support of the program and staff.
• Implements and maintains the program's philosophy, principles, and procedures in all services and operational functions.
• Performs direct service functions to ensure department goals are met.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate program outcome goals.
• Completes program reports as needed by agency, county, and state standards.
• Maintains compliance with licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Acts as a spokesperson and liaison with regulatory and contractual organizations.
• Reviews files for accuracy, appropriateness, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Hires and evaluates staff while maintaining approved staffing levels.
• Supports staff in training and development to meet agency, department, and regulatory standards.
• Develops community-based prevention services with external agencies.
• Creates a culture of service excellence promoting continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Assists team leads in implementing action plans to improve performance.
• Provides all required documentation and reports.
• Attends all assigned trainings, supervisions, and meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Childhood Development, or related field, with Licensure preferred.
• Two years of experience working in the behavioral health field.
• Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Management of work processes, strong computer and documentation skills.
• Confidentiality within HIPAA, regulatory guidelines, and organizational policies.
• Flexibility with scheduling, especially for evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.
• Experience and confidence in implementing evidence-based practices.
• Experience working in crisis settings with individuals and families.
• Self-directed, flexible, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Sensitivity to cultural and workplace harmony.
