About the role
This position will support the opening of Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls PHP/IOP locations in 2026. The Lead Therapist oversees patient care, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and provides direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and resources for clinical staff
- Oversee and ensure timely patient care from admission to discharge
- Schedule and cover staff needs
- Evaluate and report to the Director/Manager of Operations
- Participate in staff evaluations
- Promote a team environment by example
- Communicate goals to staff
- Assist employees in professional growth
- Participate in department and multidisciplinary meetings
- Develop and implement regular oversight of staff
- Follow cases to provide feedback for care improvement
- Supervise new staff and interns
- Conduct medical record audits
- Complete chart audits and recommend improvements
- Provide feedback and education to staff
- Aid in the recruitment process
- Assist in interviews and outreach activities
- Interact with customers and participate in community events
- Resolve individual issues with peers
- Support conflict resolution and investigations
- Maintain department policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with external agency requirements
- Attend mandatory in-services and other relevant trainings
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Full, independent licensure as a LPC, LMFT, LCSW or equivalent
- Working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and techniques for all age groups
- Experience in health care and psychiatric settings
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapies (as applicable)
- American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification within 30 days of hire
- Bi-annual re-certification for American Red Cross Professional Rescue
- Formal training in managing aggressive patients (NCI) within 60 days of hire
- Annual re-certification for formal training in managing aggressive patients (NCI)
- Education and training requirements as outlined in program descriptions
Qualifications
- Ability to influence departments within Rogers and provide leadership guidance
- Knowledge of regulations and requirements related to the program/unit
- Ability to wear appropriate, professional attire
