About the role
Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems specializing in sophisticated relay and control panels, medium voltage switchgear, and enclosures (power/control buildings/E-Houses). We provide customized, turn-key solutions ensuring safe, secure, and reliable power distribution. This position is located in Dallas, Texas, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager.
Some travel is required, including to customer sites such as Reno, Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to perform testing and troubleshoot issues reported by customers.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Coordinate and perform on-site testing following AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams for main electrical distribution systems (AC/DC).
- Test various systems, including HVAC, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery systems, and cable merging.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely execution of testing.
- Troubleshoot assembly, wiring, and testing problems.
- Draft detailed technical reports to present findings and recommend modifications to correct production issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in electrical testing or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and NEC Codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss product flaws constructively and positively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for preparing test reports and proposals.
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor and at job sites.
