Responsibilities
- Provides oversight for the CT department and performs routine to complex diagnostic technical procedures in the CT department under the direction of a physician.
- Ensures image quality, excellence in patient care and uninterrupted work flow.
- Maintains technical aspects of radiation safety.
- Develops and maintains CT protocols and communicates with radiologists for standardization.
- Responds to PeerVue audits of CT exams for Quality Improvement Analysis.
- Affords assistance with the development of new protocols and procedures within the CT department.
- Affords assistance in the development of standards for radiation safety to patients and the public to assure safety and awareness.
- Affords assurance that protocols meet existing standards regarding radiation safety standards.
- Educates CT staff and others regarding new quality initiatives within the Radiology department.
- Maintains oversight of patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
- Maintains quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and trouble shooting.
- Affords assurance that Phantom QA scans are run and accurately recorded in the log book.
- Suggests new equipment, equipment modifications, and serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of DuPage Medical Group as needed.

- Performs duties of CT Technologist.
- Supervises work performed by department and may delegate work to staff members.
- Counsels and coaches the team by guiding, directing, motivating, and mediating conflict resolution.
- Affords assistance with staff development, new employee orientation, and training.
- Maintains oversight of staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- May be responsible for performance evaluations as required by Human Resources.
- Manages the schedule, time keeping, and payroll if necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited education program in radiology technology required.
- ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(CT)
- Maintain IEMA license
- BLS – Basic Life Support, AED Adult & Pediatric CPR required.
- Experience: Three (3) five (5) years related experience in the field of CT with at least 1 year of team leader or supervisory experience.
- Experienced in staff role and history of good performance.
- Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiar with a variety of the CT modality’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.

Pay
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.25-$52.90, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
