Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs quality diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. Operates CT and X-ray equipment and processes images as required. Prepares CT room, equipment, supplies and medication as indicated for the procedure/exam being performed. Responsibilities

• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in the performance of CT scans assessment and reassessment and implementation of the patient's orders in accordance with the department and organizational standards and policies.
• Completes patient documentation specific to CT scans.
• Assists Physicians and Radiologist during procedures.
• Performs CT scans in a timely and efficient manner.
• Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed.
• Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed.
• Performs all computer and PACS functions.
• Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures.
• Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.

Qualifications

• Education/Skills: Technical degree or vocational training.
• Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of CT experience.
• Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications: ARRT(R), MRT, BLS obtained by HCA approved vendor.
