Lead Technician - Technical Flush Department

Responsibilities

• Can read and understand PCPs
• Able to understand and execute documentation of work process
• Set Up
• Operations and Monitoring
• Break Down
• Repairs and Maintenance
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
• Oversee technicians, and evaluate areas for improvement
• Develop and implement flushing plans, procedures, and schedules
• Collaborate with project managers, and production teams
• Verify all processes are followed
• Conduct training to technicians as needed
• Participates in the service repair and maintenance program.
• Always use proper PPE

Qualifications

• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Attentive to detail and alert always to ensure safety
• Able to receive, follow and give instructions and communicate with co-workers
• Able to safely operate various vehicles and equipment
• Technical expertise in flushing operations, hydraulic systems, and piping
• Previous experience, in ship repair, maintenance, or naval operations (5+ years)

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical/Vocational trade school
• Apprenticeship

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Indoors and outdoors frequently exposed to prevailing weather conditions
• Exposed to fumes, chemicals, and heat as well as noise and dust present depending upon the location of work
• Safety equipment required
• Frequent climbing inclined stairways and vertical work
• Strenuous and sometimes hazardous work aboard the vessels
• Moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the shipyard
• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Varying schedules and hours as needed
