Lead Technician - Security

Job Summary

As a Lead Technician - Security with Bosch Building Technologies, you will collaborate with Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations of security systems, provide leadership and support for projects, and ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, configure, and commission security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and fence detection systems.
  • Oversee project personnel and site operations, conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate and direct technicians, workers, and subcontractors, organize and maintain efficiency across onsite activities, and keep project teams motivated.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand security requirements, provide expert guidance, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs, prepare and execute detailed reports and acceptance test plans.
  • Stay updated with advancements in security technologies, regulations, and industry best practices, continuously improve technical skills through training and certifications.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards, perform administrative duties, provide project updates, and complete required documentation.
  • Be available for on-call rotation support, utilize technical expertise to mentor colleagues, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Progressive leadership experience within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) with experience in leading other technicians and projects.
  • 5+ years of experience managing integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) projects.
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role.
  • Progressive experience in a technical role.
  • Programming experience is essential for this position.
  • Previous experience leading installations at the site level.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean abstract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE, AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others).
  • Post-secondary training in electronics or equivalent.
