Lead Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services - US
Join our team as a Lead Technician in Facility Services, Exterior Services. In this year-round role, you'll lead a team of exterior service technicians to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in commercial landscape management and exterior building/grounds maintenance will help maintain our exterior spaces, fostering a safe and clean environment for customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of exterior service technicians, providing on-the-job training on processes, equipment usage, and safety practices to ensure an injury-free work environment.
- Perform landscaping tasks such as cutting grass, weed management, and other duties with or without specialized equipment.
- Apply knowledge of planting, pruning techniques, and pest/disease management through chemical applications.
- Conduct commercial exterior maintenance including irrigation, pressure washing, and exterior building/grounds upkeep.
- Utilize technology (phones, tablets, laptops) for work order management and record-keeping.
- Troubleshoot and prioritize work while maintaining a strong customer service orientation.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics, integrity, and safety.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial landscaping/exterior building maintenance and leading teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid, state-issued driver’s license held for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency, maintaining a minimum 90-day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card.
- No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years (if driving a commercial motor vehicle).
- No serious traffic violations or preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last 3 years (if operating a commercial motor vehicle).
- Ability to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in horticulture or related field.
- Certified nursery and/or landscape professional.
- Experience as a landscaping/gardening crew leader or supervisor.
- Proficiency in intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- State/local licensing where required (e.g., Florida, Texas, California).

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
