Lead Technician
About the role
The Patch Boys is seeking a Crew Manager to oversee the scheduling and work output of multiple technicians. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with technicians, provide clear guidance, and respond promptly to both management and customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage schedules and work output of multiple technicians
- Communicate effectively with technicians to provide clear guidance
- Respond quickly and positively to management and customers
- Remove plaster, drywall or paneling and ability to texture and refinish plaster services
- Ability and willingness to work on new walls and ceilings, and repair existing walls
- Determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects
- Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer
- Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into specified position
- Measure and mark cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim
- Install insulation in-between studs and attach plastic moisture barrier over installation
- Use basic mobile technology tools such as Gmail, text messaging, and company-provided CRM application (training provided for CRM)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead by example and make timely, sound decisions
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and training technicians
- Owns all necessary tools for drywall repair and maintains a neat, professional appearance
- Must have a smartphone with a data plan and basic mobile tech knowledge (Gmail, texting)
- Organized and task-oriented, able to manage and maintain a consistent weekly schedule
- Takes pride in personal work and team performance, balancing production with quality
- Eager to learn, improve daily, and contribute as a positive, reliable team player
- Delivers professional customer service and represents the company with integrity
