Lead Technician

Responsibilities

• Installing, terminating, configuring, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision.
• System knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems, and visitor management.
• Leading a team on project installations.
• Managing quality control and providing fanatical customer service.
• Taking responsibility for and tracking project progress.
• Successfully demonstrate installation, termination, test and perform maintenance on the following hardware from leading manufacturers like Von Duprin, Assa Abloy, HID, Honeywell, etc.
• Mag Locks
• Door Strikes
• Card Readers and Keypads
• Electric Crash Bars
• EREX (Emergency Request to Exit Buttons)
• REX (Request to Exit)

Requirements

• A minimum of 4+ years’ experience installing, commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a project lead responsible for complete project supervision.
• Process oriented, with good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics with professionalism.
• Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.
• Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.
• Valid driving license and clean MVR.
• Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a must:
• Access Control: Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.
• Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha.
• Alarm: DMP, Honeywell, DSC.
• Locking Hardware: Mechanical/Electromechanical, Assa Abloy, Schlage, Von Duprin, etc.
• DCJS licensed.

Qualifications

• High School (or GED) minimum requirement.
• Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred).

Pay

Hourly wage varies from $35.00 to $40.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.
