Lead Technician

About the role

Mann Wireless is a well-established company specializing in DAS and public safety in-building communications systems. We are seeking a versatile Lead Technician for the Tampa market. Candidates should be prepared to commute to the Largo, FL office at least once or twice a week and travel weekly throughout the state of Florida. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a small company or who thrives in a small business environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite project direction and leadership for Mann Wireless technicians and subcontractors
• Lead field teams and manage project scope of work, timelines, materials, budget, and quality
• Oversee jobsite safety and compliance requirements
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Provide status updates to Project Managers and customers
• Complete project-related documentation
• Train and mentor field teams
• Install low-voltage systems, including cabling, and apply understanding of RF fundamentals

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience is preferred
• Experience leading construction projects and field teams
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Low voltage experience (cabling and testing familiarity)
• Experience in technical field service and/or with RF
• Experience with DAS systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to be a working supervisor
• Ability to travel throughout the state overnight and occasionally outside of the state
• Ability to lift 80 lbs unassisted, work at heights on ladders, and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, and climbing throughout the day
• Within commuting distance of the Largo, FL office/warehouse
• Comfortable with the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• AAS or AS in an Engineering or Technology field desired OR related military experience
• Driver’s License (Required)
• OSHA Construction 10 or 30 (Desired)
