Lead Technician

Key Job Responsibilities

• Cook up shop workflow and figure out what jobs need to be done first.
• Partner with internal buddies to decide which jobs should be done first and make sure everything runs smoothly.
• Check and build job plans to help us know exactly what we're doing.
• Make sure we have all the parts we need before we start working.
• Direct the hourly workers and be ready to work extra hours and weekends if needed.
• Make sure everyone follows Komatsu's rules, safety stuff, and keeps things neat and tidy.
• Make sure the equipment is always ready to go and check it regularly.
• Fix and change big parts like hoists, swings, and gear cases.
• Find out why machines aren't working right and fix them.
• Do daily safety talks and check the tools and protective gear.
• Work with customers and be friendly.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Got 5 years of experience fixing and rebuilding electric mining shovels or haul trucks.
• Knows how to read and understand drawings and Komatsu's rules.
• Can use Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Has some experience using SAP, but it's not a must.
• Meets with direct reports every day to talk about safety and planning.
• Does regular checks on tools and protective gear.
• Works well with customers and is friendly.
