Schedule

Full‑time; flexible shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Customer Satisfaction: Provide prompt, courteous, and attentive service; greet and thank customers; assist with suggestions and recommendations; accurately ring sales on cash register handling cash, checks, and other payments; operate fuel console, lottery machines, money‑order machine, and telecom transactions; adhere to dress/appearance code and punctuality standards.
• Facility Condition: Maintain store cleanliness and equipment to company/brand standards; perform general housekeeping inside and out; inspect facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper operation; contact maintenance for repairs as needed.
• Merchandising: Complete build‑to orders for merchandise purchasing; receive and verify vendor deliveries; maintain adequate stock levels and rotate stock; place advertising and pricing signage throughout the facility.
• Sales Controls: Control merchandise, cash shortages, and selling expenses; assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
• Financial Controls: Monitor shift sales, cash‑handling procedures, and daily close‑out functions; notify Store Manager of any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies; receive and sign vendor deliveries verifying quality and quantity; follow guidelines for product breakage or spoilage.
• Staffing Controls: Supervise customer‑service representatives in the absence of the Store Assistant Manager; coach and train new employees per company/brand standards; monitor customer traffic and adjust staffing to reduce wait times; assist with employee counseling and performance feedback; may direct fast‑food service area; know and correctly execute gasoline pricing strategy.
• Security Controls: Report all incidents (injuries, theft, property damage, sanitation/waste issues) to Store Manager; report any unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct.
• Administrative: Perform shift‑change duties (cash‑drawer counts, employee‑purchase records, end‑of‑shift reports); ensure accurate timekeeping; take inventory of supplies/equipment; attend job‑related meetings (may require irregular hours); provide regular, predictable onsite attendance; complete daily store reports and other duties assigned by Store Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work with required equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described below.
• Ability to work in the conditions described below.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes (walk‑in cooler/freezer, outdoors).
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 30 lb from ground to overhead (stocking/inventory).
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lb from ground to waist (replenishing fountain syrups).
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift (requires eye‑hand coordination).
• Push/pull with arms up to 20 lb force (e.g., hand‑truck).
• Reach overhead, bend and twist at waist, stoop, kneel, squat, push, and pull.
• Communicate orally; operate cash register and/or computer keyboard.
• Ability to work alone; tolerate occasional noise.
• Stand and/or walk for entire shift.
• May require climbing a ladder to store/retrieve materials or place/remove signs.

Work Environment

• Approximately 95 % of work performed indoors; required to clean parking lots, gas pumps, take out garbage, etc.
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures during occasional work in walk‑in cooler/freezer.
• Occasional noise exposure.
• Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Pay

Hiring range: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour.
