Lead teacher for Intro to PreK position

About the role

The Lead Teacher for the Intro to PreK position at our childcare center is responsible for leading a group of young children in their early educational journey. This role requires strong teaching skills, patience, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.
• Assess and document each child’s progress and development.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure consistent care and education.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Valid Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
