About the role

Responsibilities
- Observe children’s interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum
- Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions
- Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession
Requirements
- Affiliate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or NC EDU 119
- 1-2 years of previous childcare experience preferred
- State required Background Check documentation
- Able to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members. A team player!
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Mets North Carolina childcare standards
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
