Hetty's Brilliant Minds is a Christian childcare center offering innovative, year-round, before school, full-day, and after school educational preschool as well as infant care. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment that meets children's developmental and academic needs.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years experience of working in a childcare setting especially with Toddlers (18 months to 38 months).
• CDA in Infant/Toddler
• Associate Degree preferred but not required.
• MAT, First aid and CPR Certificate

Responsibilities

• Nurturing, monitoring, teaching children to share, express themselves, communicate, and collaborate well with others, follow their curiosity, and further their language and vocabulary development.
• Supervise assistant teachers and volunteers
• Develop lesson plans based on our curriculum and assess the developmental growth of the children
• Communicate with parents on the progress of their children
• Set up classroom to reflect current lessons
• Plan and carry out curriculum
• Help children develop positive self-images and experience success
• Encourage exploration of interests and developmental social skills
• Develop schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Teach children how to play fairly with others
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development
• Identify any physical or mental development concerns in assigned children
• Meet with parents to discuss concerns
• Optimize children’s developmental, intellectual, and social achievements in class activities
• Create and lead a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation
• Be vigilant about the health and safety of the children and report any health hazards to appropriate staff members
• Report any suspected cases of child abuse to the appropriate authorities

Qualifications

Pay

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
