About the role
Hetty's Brilliant Minds is a Christian childcare center offering innovative, year-round, before school, full-day, and after school educational preschool as well as infant care. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment that meets children's developmental and academic needs.
Requirements
- Must have 2 years experience of working in a childcare setting especially with Toddlers (18 months to 38 months).
- CDA in Infant/Toddler
- Associate Degree preferred but not required.
- MAT, First aid and CPR Certificate
Responsibilities
- Nurture, monitor, and teach children to share, express themselves, communicate, and collaborate well with others.
- Follow children's curiosity and further their language and vocabulary development.
- Supervise assistant teachers and volunteers.
- Develop lesson plans based on our curriculum and assess the developmental growth of the children.
- Communicate with parents about their children's progress.
- Set up the classroom to reflect current lessons.
- Plan and carry out curriculum, encourage exploration of interests, and develop social skills.
- Create and lead a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation.
- Optimize children’s developmental, intellectual, and social achievements in class activities.
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development.
- Identify any physical or mental development concerns in assigned children and meet with parents to discuss these concerns.
- Teach children how to play fairly with others.
- Be vigilant about the health and safety of the children and report any health hazards to appropriate staff members.
- Report any suspected cases of child abuse to the appropriate authorities.
Qualifications

Pay
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
