Lead Teacher

About This Role

The Goddard School of Manassas in Manassas, VA is seeking a qualified Lead Teacher to work with Infant / Toddler (0–2) in a center-based environment. This position requires an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

What You'll Do

Job Description:

• Responsible for the care and education of a group of children, working as a lead teacher in partnership with an assistant.
• Design and implement lesson plans, and manage the students as they learn, eat, sleep, and play.
• Keep the classroom organized and clean.
• Communicate with parents in person and in writing.

Requirements

• Education - all candidates must have one of the following:
• A BA in Early Childhood Education, or related field
• An AA in Early Childhood Education, or related field
• A Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits in Education)
• Be currently enrolled in either a CDA or Associate's Degree program
• All candidates must also have the following:
• Experience working with young children; school-setting experience is preferred.
• Comfort with technology for lesson planning and parent communication.
• Mastery of the English language, as spoken and written, to permit effective communication with parents.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a licensed child care center.

Pay

This Lead Teacher role pays $15 to $25/Hr.
