Lead Talend Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a Talend Developer to join our team in Columbus, OH on a contract basis. Retail industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in MicroStrategy application development
• Report and dashboard development (grids, graphs, scorecards)
• Creating MicroStrategy objects: metrics, filters, prompts, templates, consolidations, transformations, and custom groups
• Implementing application lifecycle management by copying and comparing application, schema, and configuration objects using MicroStrategy Object Manager
• SQL and query optimization
• Data modeling experience in designing the semantic layer, schema layer, and dimension modeling
• Star schema and snowflake schema design
• Advanced development of attributes, facts, dimensions, transformations, grids, and dashboards
• Dynamic dashboards and scorecards
• KPI visualizations and trend analysis
• MicroStrategy REST API usage
• Integration with data sources (databases, flat files, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift)
• Python, Java, or R for extended data processing
• Collaborate with business users using strong analytical abilities, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with MicroStrategy
• 4+ years of experience with Talend

Skills

• Must-have: MicroStrategy, Talend
• Nice-to-have: Snowflake, ETL, SQL, Python, PySpark
