Lead, Systems Engineer (Space Systems) - MBSE : Sign-on bonus ($20K max)

About the role

L3Harris Technologies has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in Wilmington, MA. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process, with direct and significant experience designing and testing complex systems, and comfortable coordinating teams of technical personnel. This role supports the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of critical space-based remote sensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Support concept of operation development and requirements analysis, decomposition, and generation at various levels of the system
• Develop and implement MBSE methodologies and frameworks to support engineering projects
• Conduct systems modeling and simulation to analyze system performance and validate requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of MBSE practices
• Provide leadership and technical guidance in the application of MBSE across the organization
• Conduct training and mentoring for engineering staff on MBSE tools and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
• Experience in MBSE tools such as MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect
• Experience working in Aerospace/Space design environment
• Ability to obtain a US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills

• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or similar certification
• Experience with SysML (Systems Modeling Language)
• Prior experience in the aerospace or defense industry
