Lead Systems Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid). Duration: 6+ Months Contract. Pay: $65/hr.

About the role

Lead Data Analyst responsible for designing and implementing corporate data lake/data mart solutions on Snowflake, migrating legacy data to SQL Server, and partnering with business stakeholders to improve finance, procurement, and HR data usage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with business stakeholders to document existing pain points and current system usage.
• Suggest optimal solutions for better system utilization.
• Implement corporate DataLake/Datamart solution in Snowflake.
• Migrate and implement DataLake/Datamart on SQL Server Database (legacy).
• Architect, design, and implement existing finance DataMart on Snowflake.
• Work on requirements documentation (pain points and new features) and support stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and current system behavior.
• Collaborate to create system design specification documents (functional specs, use cases, mock‑ups, design models).
• Provide SME support across multiple programs, working with vendor teams in a complex team environment.
• Manage reference data governance and end‑to‑end data lineage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 7 years of IT work experience, including application system design and implementation.
• Required experience with Workday and any Procurement ERP system.
• Experience with ERP systems in finance, HR, and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of Workday data objects/business objects and DataLake.
• Minimum 3 years of database modeling with DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or comparable.

Skills

• Technology stack: Cognos, Tableau, XML, SQL, Ab‑Initio, DB2, Oracle.
• Knowledge of multiple development methodologies.
• Data warehousing, business intelligence, data marts, data profiling, data quality analysis, data analytics.
• Advanced SQL querying and strong analytical skills.
• Experience implementing Snowflake‑based data lake/data mart solutions.
• Reference data management, governance, and end‑to‑end data lineage.

Pay

$65 per hour (contract rate).

6+ months contract, hybrid role based in Chicago, IL.
