Partner directly with portfolio managers and research analysts to understand portfolio analytics, risk, performance, and investment decision-making workflows.
Lead analysis for portfolio analysis initiatives and platform enhancements, translating complex investor needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Lead end-to-end analysis for complex initiatives spanning multiple systems, including investment data, analytics, and user experience.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to evaluate solution approaches, tradeoffs, and implementation impacts.
Drive alignment across stakeholders by facilitating discussions between investment professionals and technology teams.
Support delivery from concept through release, including solution design reviews, testing, and rollout readiness.
Identify opportunities to enhance investor workflows, improve analytical capabilities, and increase platform usability and performance based on direct investor feedback.
Drive high quality Agile practices, including well formed epics and user stories, clear acceptance criteria, backlog readiness, and active participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role within complex technology environments.
- Strong understanding of the asset management industry and portfolio analytics, including concepts such as portfolio risk, performance attribution, portfolio construction, or factor exposures.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage directly with portfolio managers and research analysts to understand complex investment workflows and analytical needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguity, evaluate tradeoffs, and make clear recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience leading analysis efforts across cross-functional teams and coordinating requirements across multiple systems.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
