Essential Job Functions
- Operate and fully understand the functions of the closed circuit television (CCTV) video control system.
- Communicate and coordinate with security, management, Indiana Gaming Agents, legal court system, employees, and human resources.
- Document observations, events, and incidents.
- Supervise observers.
- Advise employees on proper procedures and protocols.
- Responsible for shift activity.
- Review each shift report for accuracy and precision.
- Complete a daily shift report of activity for submission to the Manager.
- Appraise Manager or Supervisor of all shift and staff member activities.
- Apply and adhere to established department rules and policies.
- Assure gaming integrity and the protection of company assets.
- Assist in the development of departmental procedures and policies.
- Cookordinate and monitor surveillance activities, assure compliance with company policies, and report all irregularities to appropriate management.
- Assist in the training of department employees.
- Develop work schedules to ensure shifts are adequately staffed.
- Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition (S.T.A.R.).
- Responsible for immediately informing on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.
Other Job Functions
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Attend additional training as required or offered by the company.
Job Qualifications
- Experience Required: Two years of surveillance experience with gaming related activities and prior supervisory experience.
- Proven skills in Table Games basic strategy and card counting.
- Proven experience conducting Player Evaluations.
Education Required
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required
- Ability to supervise and physically observe numerous monitors simultaneously for extended periods of time.
- Must have ability to manually operate a CCTV system, tape, record, and perform routine maintenance on surveillance equipment.
- Able to maneuver in tight quarters and throughout the casino.
- Excellent verbal and written communicative skills.
- Can perform mathematical and logistical functions in a proficient manner.
- Ability to adapt to stressful situations and quickly determine appropriate procedures as needed.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required
- An Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License - Level 2.
Specialized Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a confined space, identify colors and symbols, apply normal gripping skills with the hands and fingers.
- Able to kneel, lift above the head, stand, or sit for long periods of time, stoop and twist on a daily basis.
