Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Lead Surgical Technologist, you'll lead surgical preparation, scrub in and support surgeons, guide and mentor team members, and oversee quality and safety. Required qualifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support, Surgical Technologist degree, Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate, CST preference, and 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience.
Responsibilities
- Leading surgical preparation
- Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons
- Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists
- Overseeing quality and safety
- Managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards
- Driving teamwork and efficiency
- Effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Surgical Technologist degree
- Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate
- CST preference
- 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience
