Job Summary And Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(CST)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Licensed with the Commonwealth of Virginia (required)
  • The OR Service Line Leader (Lead Certified Surgical Technologist) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite.
  • Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Service Line Lead prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure.
  • The OR Service Line Leader ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment.
  • The Lead participates in patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promote optimum patient satisfaction.
  • The Lead assists with ongoing training and/or precepting of new and current employees as directed by the supervisor.
  • The is responsible for ensuring new processes, equipment and other changes are communicated and/or taught to other Surgical Technologists.
