Lead Surgical Tech - Chula Vista

Responsibilities

• Ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Scrub for cases, anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team.
• Take initiative to utilize appropriate support services to resolve issues.
• Position and transport patients.
• Organize room cleanup and ensure efficient room turnover, including decontaminating equipment as necessary.

Requirements

• 3 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in the OR.
• Technical competence in multiple surgical services.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
• Detail oriented and able to work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
• Able to train and coach others.

Qualifications

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter).
• Must remain in original department/specialty.
• Must remain in original Job Title.
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Pay

Position Pay Range: $36.72-$53.23/hour.
