Lead surgery scheduler
Job Description
Provides oversight of daily workflow planning, troubleshooting, staffing needs, delegation of duties, problem-solving, and staff learning needs. Assists in the development and implementation of surgery scheduling policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with practice leadership on operational communications and special projects. Assists practice leadership with workflow decisions, performance feedback, and new hire orientation. Serves as a mentor and preceptor for new surgery scheduling staff. Completes communication loops to provide feedback and answers to practice leadership, providers, patients, and families.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication to enhance patient care, team collaboration, and analytical problem-solving. Exhibits detail-orientation with multiple tasks and follow-through of tasks to completion. Utilizes Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management, and Scheduling systems effectively.
- Knowledge of charge entry, payment collection, and posting, knowledge of clinical and surgical billing requirements, ability to perform data entry and prepare reports
- Advanced knowledge of all aspects of surgery scheduling, obtaining insurance authorizations, and ability to problem solve to resolve individually or on a team
- Interpersonal/human relations skills

Pay Range
$21.19 - $33.90
