Lead Support Analyst - Low Latency Electronic Trading
The Role
Maintain and support Nomura's real-time low latency trading environment, including FPGA-based systems, DMA, Algorithmic and Smart Order Routing platforms.
Support high frequency co-located trading environments, focusing on the full architecture stack including FPGA cards, feed handlers, and exchange connectivity.
Analyze pcap files for latency issues and validate message flows.
Perform daily health checks on critical systems, automate and configure real-time monitoring solutions.
Provide rapid response and resolution to incidents affecting the production trading systems.
Utilize latency monitoring tools (Corvil/Pico) to identify, measure, and resolve performance issues.
Liaise between clients, front-office and development teams for quick and effective escalation and resolution.
Act as a production change gatekeeper, managing and deploying changes, including configuration and software release.
Document system issues and provide runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and system configuration.
Implement and support exchange connectivity, bringing up new gateways, connections, and market data feeds/protocols.
Requirements
- Ability to work well under pressure with a true sense of urgency and excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to act as a bridge between technology and front office teams.
- Understanding of high frequency and low latency trading practices, including FPGA-based trading infrastructure.
- Experience supporting FPGA cards in a production environment (deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring).
- Strong knowledge of exchange connectivity protocols and market data feeds (ITCH, OUCH, Pillar, ARCA, multicast).
- Familiarity with pcap analysis and network packet inspection tools.
- Experience with latency measurement and monitoring tools (Corvil/Pico).
- Strong understanding of the Americas securities markets and structure, order lifecycle, and FIX protocol.
- Tech-savvy experience of Unix environments.
- Good understanding of networking principles.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- 3+ years relevant experience.
- Proficient in scripting and automation (preferably Shell and Python).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic).
- Exposure to OMS and EMS platforms.

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $140,000 annually.
