Our client is a leading general contractor in the Chicago-land area specializing in multifamily, commercial, retail, and tenant improvement projects. About the Role

  • Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.
  • Review blueprints, customer needs, and contractor submissions to execute appropriate bids.
  • Lead construction project planning and develop site logistics.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Utilize time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain daily and weekly work logs.
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Work directly with investors and maintain a professional, client-facing attitude.
  • Ensure proper signage and safety requirements are met on the construction job site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience as a construction superintendent for a general contractor.
  • OSHA certification (preferred).
  • Experience leading ground-up construction projects and managing large teams.
  • Mid-rise construction experience, preferably with diverse projects.
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing job sites.
  • Working knowledge of field construction systems, practices, safety, procedures, engineering principles, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.

Pay

Competitive base salary between $100,000–$130,000 (depending on experience).
