JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for all experience levels! As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing the entire construction project from mobilization to completion. Your primary focus will be on field coordination, ensuring that all subcontractors are working towards quality and industry-standard workmanship. You will also need to coordinate subcontractors in the correct sequence, manage the overall project timeline, and maintain safety protocols.
What You Will Do
- Study specifications and contracts to plan construction procedures, ensuring that start and finish times, safety, quality, and staffing/subcontractor requirements are met.
- Coordinate expediting lists with the Project Engineer for material delivery, aligning with work schedules and following standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Coordinate subcontractors' work in a sequential manner, ensuring the overall project completion timeline is met.
- Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings, review 3-week short-interval schedules, and assess quality management or activities, as well as overall jobsite safety.
- Communicate with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors regarding planning, execution of work procedures, interpretation of specifications, and coordination of various construction phases to prevent delays.
- Obtain and monitor all necessary permits, building certificates, and city inspections, adhering to local building enforcement procedures as outlined in SOP.
- Resolve construction issues and improve construction methods by communicating with General Superintendents, supervisory, and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of materials.
- Enforce the organization's safety policies in accordance with SOP and establish a safety-focused environment that emphasizes safety on the job site.
- Show sound and accurate judgment, inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to construction schedules, prepare or review reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjust work schedules as needed based on reports.
- Coordinate and approve all time and material costs with various subcontractors.
- Maintain daily paperwork and perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
- At least 5-10 years of experience supervising all phases of ground-up multi-million dollar commercial construction projects, including those valued up to $100 million in the multifamily/mixed-use sector.
- Willingness to travel as business requirements dictate.
- Highly motivated individual with a demonstrated passion for excellence and initiative.
- Professional communicator capable of interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Valid/active driver's license.
Preferred location: Located in Tulsa, OK.
