About the Role

Responsible for the comprehensive speech and language therapy of assigned patients to include evaluation, program planning, treatment implementation, documentation, and discharge planning. Identifies complex socioeconomic and psychosocial behaviors and refers appropriately for special intervention. Identifies and documents precautions and implications for treatment intervention from medical history screening process. Identifies and documents learning preferences and educational barriers. Utilizes the initial and discharge functional assessment indexes for goal and treatment planning. Sets and documents realistic goals with time frames incorporating the patient and family needs and goals.

Maintains consistently high standard of complete and legible documentation per departmental policy and procedure. Maintains statistics and reports accurately and in a timely manner. Provides accurate and timely billing information on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
