Job Summary
Join an innovative in-house Technology team at the forefront of transforming the hospitality industry through cutting-edge, consumer-facing technology solutions. As a key member of the Connected Room team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining sophisticated web applications that power next-generation guest experiences, including integrated entertainment, temperature, and lighting controls accessible via smartphone.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex PHP applications using frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or similar, writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Build and maintain user interfaces using React.js, producing clean, reusable, and efficient front-end code
- Collaborate with backend teams to develop features and APIs that meet business and end-user requirements
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and procedures, and actively participate in code reviews
- Align all solution development with architectural standards throughout the Agile development process
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security across web applications
- Demonstrate proficiency across multiple technology stacks to deliver quality solutions that require minimal rework
- Manage existing PHP projects with a focus on best practices in technical implementation and ongoing maintenance
- Partner with Product, Business, QA, Support teams, and external partners during daily scrum meetings and scheduled collaboration sessions
Requirements
- Proficiency in PHP development with expertise in one or more PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
- Strong experience with React.js for front-end development
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration
- Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, Docker, or equivalent platforms
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with front-end build tools and bundlers
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Hospitality domain experience is a plus
- Experience 5 years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field
- 4 years of PHP development experience, including expertise in one or more PHP frameworks
- 2 years of development experience with the React.js JavaScript framework
- 4 years of experience with relational databases such as MySQL or similar
Skills
