Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy to build in-house expertise and reduce reliance on vendors
• Oversee vendor delivery, performance, and accountability
• Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and improve system capabilities
• Ensure production stability, incident management, and operational excellence
• Provide technical leadership in full-stack development, microservices, and modern data platforms

Requirements

• Experience leading and managing engineering teams
• Strong background in vendor management and internal capability development
• Technical depth in Java full-stack development, microservices architecture, and data platforms (Databricks)
• Proven ability to balance vendor oversight and internal team development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with business stakeholders
• Experience in driving software development lifecycle in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
