About the role
In this role as a Lead Software Development Engineer you will:
- Develop software applications using best practices in coordination with a distributed team.
- Apply mastery-level understanding of software development methodologies to design and build complex SaaS systems.
- Drive design decisions including platform selection, coding standards, and technical implementation.
- Contribute across all aspects of an Agile development process, design, programming, testing, documentation, QA, and implementation.
- Lead code reviews to enforce standards and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor junior team members to reinforce best practices and support their growth.
- Ensure development efforts are properly estimated and delivered on time and to quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external end users on requirements gathering and application design.
- Provide technical guidance to management and help shape the technical direction for new product development.
- Leverage innovation time to explore pet projects and areas of special interest.

Requirements
You’re fit for the role of Lead Software Development Engineer if your background includes:
- 5+ years of experience developing software for the Global Trade industry, specifically in logistics, customs, or supply chain management.
- 10+ years of software development experience across multiple programming languages, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new ones.
- Proficiency in .NET development (C#, VB.NET).
- Proficiency in responsive front-end / single page application development using Angular.
- Proficiency developing and consuming REST APIs, including documentation tooling (Swagger, Postman).
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL data persistence systems (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Working knowledge of DataDog for observability, APM, and RUM.
- AWS and/or GCP cloud-native development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with agentic AI-First development tools and processes.
- Comfort with iterative, spec-light design.
Qualifications
You’ll need to:
- Have a solid understanding of application security from both the web service and web application perspective.
- Have a lead-level understanding of design patterns and N-Tier architecture.
- Have strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Have SaaS development experience on large to enterprise-class applications.
