Lead Site Service Technician

About the role

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, is seeking a Lead Site Service Technician to join their team based in Spring Hill, TN. This position involves performing onsite maintenance of mobile equipment, mentoring other technicians, and ensuring optimal performance of the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite maintenance of mobile equipment, including analysis and inspection of GM-owned equipment located in Spring Hill, TN.
• Mentor other technicians and delegate assignments.
• Assist in ensuring the maintenance program meets customer expectations.
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure completion on time and in full.
• Process paperwork and escalate safety concerns.
• Ensure all employees deliver the daily work schedule on time, in full, and in a quality manner.
• Identify issues, suggest improvements, and repair trucks to customer satisfaction.
• Perform physical fleet inspections every two weeks.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced mechanical skills, including the ability to read electrical diagrams and work with hydraulic systems.
• Leadership and coaching skills to guide employees.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both team environments and independently.
• General computer knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to maneuver in physically demanding environments.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• Must supply hand tools sufficient to perform maintenance and services.

Skills, Experience & Abilities

• Demonstrable understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex and novel issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

• Ability to work various shifts as assigned.
• On occasion, the roles requires working on holidays as scheduled.
